LinkedIn Ads

The LinkedIn Ads integration connects LinkedIn Campaign Manager to Mokapen to sync Lead Gen Forms and campaigns: you import campaign structure and turn LinkedIn lead form submissions into CRM contacts, with manual sync and real-time webhooks via LinkedIn Lead Sync.

It's an inbound integration: data is brought from LinkedIn into Mokapen (Mokapen doesn't modify your campaigns on LinkedIn).

General integrations overview: Integrations.

Requirements

  • A LinkedIn ad account in Campaign Manager with access to Lead Gen Forms.
  • A Mokapen developer app approved for Lead Sync API (r_marketing_leadgen_automation) and ideally Advertising API (r_ads).
  • A Mokapen plan that includes the LinkedIn Ads integration (Premium — medal icon on the page if not available on your plan).

Connecting LinkedIn Ads

  1. User menu → IntegrationsLinkedIn Ads.
  2. Click Connect to LinkedIn Ads (requires an adequate Premium plan).
  3. Sign in with LinkedIn and grant the requested Marketing / Lead Sync permissions.
  4. When you return you'll see the Connected account status.
  5. Select the ad accounts, enable campaigns and/or leads, map form fields, then Save or Sync.

Only the user who made the connection can change settings, sync, or disconnect the integration for the organization.

Syncing campaigns

Enable campaign syncing on an ad account to import Campaign Manager campaigns into Marketing → Campaigns with source linkedin_ads.

Capturing leads from Lead Gen Forms

  1. Enable lead syncing and select the forms to sync.
  2. Map the fields of each form to CRM contact fields. The email field is required: a lead without an email isn't imported.
  3. Choose New & Recent Leads, New Leads, or All.
  4. Save or sync: leads become contacts, linked to the originating campaign when available.

After setup, new form submissions can arrive in Mokapen in real time via LinkedIn Lead Sync webhooks; manual or scheduled sync retrieves history.

Where you see the data

  • Marketing → Campaigns — campaigns imported from LinkedIn Ads.
  • Contacts — imported leads appear as contacts, with campaign attribution when available.

Limits to know

  • Inbound sync — data goes from LinkedIn to Mokapen.
  • Email required for leads — leads without an email address are ignored.
  • API access — Lead Sync and Advertising products must be approved on your LinkedIn developer application.
  • Sales Navigator — not included (SNAP partner program is closed to new applicants).

Common issues

  • Empty forms / 403 — LinkedIn Lead Sync product may not be approved yet, or the user lacks ad account / page roles.
  • A lead didn't arrive — check form selection, field mapping, and that the lead has an email.
  • Webhook not firing — confirm the public webhook URL is HTTPS and the secret query parameter matches your configuration.
