Campaigns

The Campaigns module is where Mokapen brings together your marketing campaigns — both advertising (Ads) and newsletter / email marketing — so you can monitor KPIs, performance, and leads in a single section.

The main advantage: instead of opening each third-party app (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, MailerLite, Mailchimp, Brevo, ActiveCampaign…) to see the numbers for every channel, in Mokapen you have all KPIs of your synced campaigns in one list and in the same reports, already linked to contacts and sales work.

Campaigns are created on the external platforms; Mokapen syncs them and lets you analyze them together with leads and metrics.

What it is for and why it helps

Without a shared hub, marketing lives in “silos”: spend and clicks on Facebook, opens on Mailchimp, leads on a spreadsheet, follow-up in the CRM. With Campaigns in Mokapen:

  • A single place to read results — open Marketing → Campaigns and see Ads and newsletters together, with source and account, without jumping from one login to another.
  • Centralized KPIs — spend, impressions, clicks, opens, sent, leads: the metrics that would otherwise stay locked inside each third-party app arrive here and stay comparable in the same place.
  • Marketing linked to the CRM — campaign leads become contacts, with attribution to the source campaign: sales knows where each inquiry comes from and can act right away.
  • Faster decisions — filters and reports tell you which channel and which campaign bring leads (and at what cost) without exporting files from every platform.
  • Automations — contacts created from leads can trigger automatic flows (e.g. Contact Created), if your plan allows it.

In short: you use external platforms to create and publish; you use Mokapen to read results, compare them, and work the leads.

Where the data comes from

Campaigns in Mokapen come only from integrations (inbound sync). They are not created manually from Marketing → Campaigns: you connect the accounts and Mokapen imports structure, metrics, and leads.

Platforms typically connected to the Campaigns module (Ads and newsletters):

  • Advertising (Ads) — Facebook Ads, Google Ads (and in general the ads channels available for your organization).
  • Newsletter / email and marketing automation — MailerLite, Mailchimp, Brevo, Zoho Campaigns, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, MailUp and other compatible campaign integrations.

For each one, check availability in User menu → Integrations (and in your plan): if the integration is present and you connect it, the related campaigns and KPIs appear in the Campaigns list, filterable by Source.

In practice: KPIs from Ads + KPIs from newsletters in the same place, whatever the starting platform among those available for you.

Integrations overview: Integrations. Dedicated guides (where available): Facebook Ads, Google Ads, MailerLite, Mailchimp.

What they track (KPI)

Metrics depend on the campaign source. Mokapen shows in the list the KPI columns relevant to the data you have already synced — always in the same list, instead of scattered across the consoles of external apps.

Advertising campaigns (e.g. Facebook Ads, Google Ads)

  • Spent amount — how much you invested in the campaign / ads.
  • Impressions — how many times the ad was shown.
  • Click — clicks on the link / ad.
  • Other typical Ads actions (when available from the platform), for example Likes, Comments, Posts, Complete Registrations.
  • Lead — number of leads imported from forms (Lead Ads / Google forms) and linked to that campaign.

Newsletter / email campaigns (e.g. MailerLite, Mailchimp, Brevo, Zoho, ActiveCampaign…)

  • Sent — messages / recipients reached by the send.
  • Opens — email opens.
  • Click — clicks on links in the message.
  • Lead / activity — where the platform and integration support it, recipient actions flow into the CRM and stay linked to the campaign.

Beyond the numbers, each row shows Status (Active, Inactive, Completed), Source, Source Account, Goal, Start date and Due date when available.

Structure: campaign, adset, ad

For Ads campaigns, Mokapen follows the typical hierarchy of advertising platforms:

  1. Campaign — the main container (goal, period, total leads and aggregated KPIs).
  2. Adsets — the ad groups inside the campaign (on Google they correspond to ad groups).
  3. Ads — the single creative / ad, with spend, impressions, and clicks.

From the Campaigns list, if a campaign has adsets, you can open the Adsets detail and then the Ads.

Email / newsletter campaigns usually stay at campaign level (without adsets and ads): in the list you see title, source, send/open/click KPIs, and linked leads.

How to access

  • Main menu → MarketingCampaigns.
  • You need: the Campaigns application active for the organization (Settings → Applications) and an adequate Premium plan (if it is not available, the medal icon appears on the page).
  • If the list is empty, Mokapen invites you to connect marketing integrations: without sync there are no campaigns to show.

Connecting sources (first setup)

  1. Go to Integrations and, for each platform you use, check availability and connect the account (Ads and/or email campaigns).
  2. Configure account, campaign filters and — if provided — lead sync / field mapping; then press Sync or Save according to the integration screen.
  3. Return to Marketing → Campaigns: the imported campaigns appear, with KPIs and (for Ads) the adset/ad structure.
  4. New data and new leads keep arriving according to the frequency and rules of each integration (including real-time updates where provided, e.g. Ads leads).

For connection details of each platform, use the dedicated guides where available.

How to use the Campaigns list

In the list you find, for each campaign:

  • Title and status
  • Source and source account
  • Goal
  • Number of Lead
  • Dynamic KPI columns (spend, impressions, opens, sent, clicks, … depending on the data present)
  • Start and due dates
  • Privacy indicator (visibility set during integration sync)

Use the Filters (status, source, account, goal, dates, Lead / Spent amount / Impressions / Click ranges) to work operationally, for example:

  • only active Ads campaigns with high spend;
  • only newsletters from a given source with more opens;
  • side-by-side comparison of two channels in the same period.

This is the daily use of the module: check performance without opening the third-party apps, then move to contacts or reports when you need to dig deeper.

Leads and contacts

When a campaign generates leads (Ads forms, or activity linked to email campaigns), Mokapen:

  • creates or updates the contact in Contacts (with the integration’s duplicate and conflict rules);
  • links the lead to the campaign (Lead count in the list);
  • can set on the contact the source and the connected campaign, so in sales you know which campaign it came from.

Leads also feed into reports (Leads by Campaign, Leads by Source) and can trigger automations on contacts (e.g. Contact Created), if your plan includes them.

Campaigns reports

Beyond the operational list, in Reports → Campaigns you find summary charts — again, without rebuilding the numbers from each platform:

  • Aggregated KPIs (spend, impressions, clicks, conversions / registrations, …)
  • Campaigns by source — how many items come from Ads vs newsletters
  • Leads by Campaign and Leads by Source
  • Trends over time for impressions, clicks, spend, and conversions
  • Performance by campaign

This is the right place to compare channels and decide where to invest.

What you can do (and what you cannot)

  • You can — browse the list and adset/ad detail, filter, open reports, move to trash or delete synced campaigns you no longer need in Mokapen.
  • You cannot — create or edit on Mokapen the campaigns of external platforms (title, budget, creatives, email send). To change an Ads campaign or a newsletter you work on the source platform; on the next sync Mokapen updates the data.
  • Privacy and collaborators for imported data are set in the integrations, not on the campaign card.

Limits to know

  • Sync only — without connected integrations the list stays empty.
  • Availability per integration — not all listed platforms are necessarily active on your account: always check in Integrations.
  • KPIs tied to the source — an email campaign will not have “Ads spend”; a Google campaign will not have “email opens”. Compare different channels carefully.
  • Ads hierarchy — adsets and ads typically exist only for advertising campaigns.
  • Plan and app — you need the Campaigns app active and an adequate Premium plan.
  • Deletion in Mokapen — removing a campaign from Mokapen does not delete it on the external platform; it only stops the local presence (contacts already created stay in Contacts).

Use cases

  • One dashboard instead of 5 logins — in the morning open Campaigns and see Ads spend and newsletter opens together, without entering Meta, Google Ads, and the email tool.
  • Ads vs newsletter comparison — filter by source and compare how many leads come from an ads channel versus an email campaign in the same period.
  • Spend control — filter Ads campaigns by spend and clicks, without opening Ads Manager.
  • Email quality — look at opens and clicks of synced newsletters and link the most active contacts to sales follow-up.
  • Lead attribution — open a contact and see which campaign (and channel) it came from, to understand what worked.
  • Monthly report — in Reports → Campaigns prepare the summary for the team: campaigns by source, leads, spend and conversion trends.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What is the Campaigns module for?

A: To bring together in Mokapen marketing campaigns (ads and newsletters), their KPIs, and the leads generated — so you analyze performance and sources in one place instead of in each third-party app, and link everything to the CRM.

Q: What is the advantage versus looking at numbers only on Facebook, Google, or Mailchimp?

A: In Mokapen the KPIs of all synced campaigns live in the same list and the same reports, already tied to contacts and sales work. You do not waste time rebuilding the picture from every platform.

Q: Can I create a campaign directly in Mokapen?

A: No. Campaigns are created on the external platforms and Mokapen syncs them. The Campaigns module is meant to view, filter, analyze, and locally delete imported data.

Q: What is the difference between Ads KPIs and newsletter KPIs?

A: Ads typically bring spend, impressions, clicks, and advertising actions; newsletters bring sent, opens, and link clicks. Both can generate leads linked to the campaign — and you still see them in the same module.

Q: Which platforms can I connect?

A: Typically Facebook Ads, Google Ads, MailerLite, Mailchimp, Brevo, Zoho Campaigns, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, MailUp and other campaign integrations. Always check availability in Integrations for your organization and plan.

Q: Why don’t I see any campaigns?

A: Usually because you have not yet connected (or synced) an available marketing integration, or the Campaigns app / plan does not include the module. Check Integrations and the empty state on the Campaigns page.

Q: Where do I see the charts?

A: In Reports → Campaigns: campaigns by source, leads by campaign/source, trends for spend, impressions, clicks, and conversions.

Q: If I delete a campaign from Mokapen, does it also disappear on the external platform?

A: No. Deletion only affects the synced data in Mokapen. Contacts already created stay in Contacts.

Q: How are leads linked to campaigns?

A: During sync (e.g. Lead Ads forms or email campaign activity) Mokapen creates/updates the contact and links it to the campaign: you see the Lead count in the list and the attribution on the contact.
