MailUp — contacts

Connect the company’s MailUp account to Mokapen contacts. Sync is bidirectional, with mappings ready and history on the first connection. Updates follow over time. Sent newsletters, with opens and clicks, are another card: MailUp campaigns.

Requirements

• MailUp account and the API credentials the Mokapen page asks for.
• Mokapen Large plan. Below that plan the connection does not open.
• Permission on contacts. See Roles and permissions.

Connect and keep the address book aligned

User menu → Integrations → MailUp. After connecting, the first sync brings the contacts already present. From then on a change in MailUp arrives in Mokapen and a change in Mokapen can go back to MailUp. Check the mapping before leaving the outbound direction on: an empty field in Mokapen, mapped to data you use in MailUp for lists, clears that data on the next pass.

MailUp contacts does not read opens. If after a send you do not see clicks on the contact card, do not re-run this sync: open the campaigns guide. There Mokapen does not receive webhooks, so you must press Sync after new sends.

When not to use it

If the only need is to send a one-to-one sequence from the CRM, the mailbox is Mokapen SMTP, not MailUp. MailUp is the email marketing address book and, on the other card, the newsletter history. Two sources on the same address book without a priority rule produce duplicates: decide which system creates the new contact.
